German Threewheeler Meeting
Hello to all Bond, Buckland, JZR`, Lomax and Triking Owners and all other fans and friends of Threewheelers.
Following on from the enjoyable meeting we organised at Burg Altena back in 2000, Karl-Friedrich Aster, Rolf Prange und Jürgen Weigle would now like to invite you to the:
Threewheeler Meeting on 11, 12, 13, September 2009
We have discovered a lovely place to stay on the Möhnesee, called the Jagdschloss St. Meinolf (www.sanktmeinolf.de) - unbelievably we only found this quiet spot for the first time a few months ago during a motor bike tour, although it is only around the corner from us!
We have reserved 23 double and 2 single rooms at 50.00 € per person per night, including breakfast.
Please book your rooms directly with the hotel: info@sanktmeinolf.de Tel. 01629695348 mentioning 'Dreiradtreffen' (Threewheeler Meeting).
Frau Greuel at the hotel is looking after our bookings.
Last opportunity to book from this allocation of rooms: 21.08.2009
If the hotel is booked out there is other accommodation close to the main hotel. St. Meinolf would give you information if necessary.
Arrival will be on Friday 11.9 during the morning, the rooms are available from 11.00h. The organisers will be there early to receive you whenever you arrive!
Departure on Sunday 13.09 – the rooms need to be vacated by 12.00h.
Some of you may wish to stay on beyond Sunday – please organise this directly with Frau Greuel at the hotel.
We really hope you decide to join us for the meeting. It really is a perfect location and a very nice hotel and was originally a hunting lodge built by Graf von Donner for his son. After that the car company Opel owned it for some years and it has an exclusive but not snobby atmosphere.
The Möhne Reservoir, Soest and the surrounding region will be the focus of our rally on the Saturday. In the middle-ages Soest was the second largest city in Europe after Rome and thus has much to offer for the tourist. On the Sunday morning we will organise a tour of the city before closing the meeting on Sunday lunchtime.
On 11 February Tony Divey rang Karl and, as ever, it was a real pleasure to talk to him and he sounded a lot fitter than in the recent past and he and Anita are planning to come to the meeting as well, which we hope will give additional motivation to our English friends to join us in large numbers!
We will make a small collection for organisational expenses during the meeting. As ever, we have to state that participation in the meeting is at your own risk. The organisers accept no responsibility for damage of any kind occurring to people, vehicles or any other items either before, during or after the meeting. By registering for the meeting you automatically accept the conditions mentioned above.
To help us plan further, please register as soon as possible by E-mail or phone with one of the following:
